In the paintings by Flichman, the brush strokes and the layers of the collage combine to form images. Landscapes, figures and imaginary animals emerge from the canvas and tempt us with their insinuations and yet remain as elusive as the levitating protagonists of these works.

According to the gallery, the works in the exhibition are “subtle reflections about the nature of art and the origin and destination of the creation“.

Silvia Flichman born in Buenos Aires in 1959. She studied with Roberto Mackintosh, Juan Eischler, Ana Tarsia and Roberto Aizemberg. She has exhibited at the National Senate Library in Argentina, the Watergate Gallery in the USA and the Amsterdam Gallery in the Netherlands.

Eduardo del Estal born in Buenos Aires in 1954. A self-taught artist, he has exhibited in Argentina, USA, Europe and Japan. As a writer, he was awarded with the National Essay Prize (Argentina) in 2004.
