The Fall 2008 Asian Art Week at Christie’s New York realized $51,142,538, the second highest total ever for Asian Art Week at Christie’s New York. Christie’s led the week with the Indian art sales when Masterpieces from the Zimmerman Family Collection, Masterpieces of Himalayan Bronzes, Indian and Southeast Asian Art, and South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art totaled $26.8 million. The Chinese Works of Art category with sales of Important Chinese Snuff Bottles from the J&J Collection, Part V, Fine Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art, and Masterworks of Ancient and Imperial China totaled $19.3 million. Japanese and Korean Art achieved $5 million
