The main feature of the Arcade’s restoration was the preservation and reinstallation of its treasured Minton Tile Ceiling. This unique architectural beauty retains an extensive history throughout each of its tile panels. It is the only known example in the world where Minton encaustic ceramic tiles are used in a suspended ceiling. Most of the Minton tiles have been in storage for over 20 years and were individually restored by Conservancy technicians.
