March 8 th , 2007 – Frauds related to the Art are relatively frequent, but the one denounced this week in the United States deserves a special mention for being one of the most original and spectacular: a cable TV show entitled Fine Arts Treasures Gallery offered “original lithographs by modern and contemporary masters” -including Picasso or Chagall- for extremely low prices

But when the buyer received his new “masterpiece”, he quickly realised that the acquired work was not more than the photocopy or a low quality copy of the original work. The fraudsters -who could have make many million dollars- have been stopped.

This type of fraudsters is quite common in the World Wide Web: from theartwolf.com we will someday write an article showing the “original works” by artists including Giacometti or even Picasso which has been offered to us by email.
