When Art gets special attention from television newscasts is usually due to one of these two reasons: the inauguration or closing of some of the world’s greatest Contemporary Art fairs (TEFAF, ARCO.) or the robbery of an important and well-known work of Art. Now it’s time to the last option: two canvases by Pablo Picasso, “Maya with a doll” (1938) and “Portrait of Jacqueline” (1961), have been theft from his last granddaughter, Diana Widmaier Picasso.
